What you will do: Capita's Operational Excellence finance team are now looking to add a commercially astute and operational savvy Finance Business Partner to the team. Working closely with the Finance Director and the Operational Excellence Central Leadership team, the Finance Business Partner will be a versatile finance professional who can balance and prioritise a large range of responsibilities. The successful candidate will be working in a fast-paced and ever-changing area of the company. Therefore, the role will not be limited to just finance and will encompass the ability to effectively translate operational activity to the results. Therefore, the remit of responsibilities will be broad and will include, but not necessarily be limited to: Month End reporting: Utilising strong technical knowledge to support preparation of the monthly adjustments and analysis of non-financial metrics to measure how effectively the program performance targets are being achieved. Forecasting, variance and trend analysis. Strong Working Capital management and Cash flow reporting. Versatile financial modelling skills to reflect the different types of programs being delivered. KPI reporting (possessing a strong understanding of productivity). Achieving reporting requirements meet weekly and monthly deadlines. Assist in the production of the business monthly performance reporting pack. Providing input & feedback on ad-hoc requests. Confident in liaising with a wide range of stakeholders across the company and strategic external Capita partners, bringing and enhancing credibility as part of the Operational Excellence team. Drives best practices / improvements for finance and Operational Excellence reporting. Analysing the output from Capita's transformation management and reporting tool to constructively challenge program progress/results. Your skills will include: The Finance Business Partner will need to be a pro-active, self-starter (capable of hitting the ground running) who will be comfortable working in an environment of change. Strong operational and commercial acumen will be a pre-requisite and ability to challenge a wide range of stakeholders. Prioritising workload and providing the business insight (often in short turnaround timescales), along with possessing the right aptitude will be key. Ability to see 'the big picture' is critical. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and being comfortable using different Capita IT systems The ideal candidate will be a qualified or experienced part qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA with Management accounting / analysis background. The candidate will have experience and working knowledge in complex program reporting, transformation programmes, complex services reporting (E.g. Bundled services, IT/Software development programmes, IT/Network services) Knowledge / experience of working in a complex contracts service / professional services environment is an advantage, along with experience in the Technology/Network/Software services sector. Experience in a high growth or start-up technology / software as a service business will also be a distinct advantage. Due to the diverse nature of the Operational Excellence program, the Finance Business Partner will need to possess a strong knowledge of operations, technical financial reporting requirements and commercial gravitas.
