An expanding business based around the Warrington area is currently recruiting for a Part Qualified Management Accountant to join the business. Reporting directly into the Finance Manager you will be responsible for preparing the monthly management accounts providing financial support to the regional directors and operational management teams through the production of financial information and analysis. The role will involve interaction with the operational and sales management teams and the wider Finance teams. To apply for the role you must have good reporting and analysis skills This is a fantastic role for someone who is seeking a new position with more responsibility and offers fantastic scope for progression into a Business Partnering role and Number Two to the Finance Manager As a Part Qualified Management Accountant you role will involve: Undertaking commercial analysis of the monthly management accounts for the division and engage in cost centre management Assisting in the preparation of the monthly management accounts for the service businesses Producing, interpreting and analysing standard reports that accurately reflect a true and fair view of business performance, providing commentary and business solutions to problems Assisting in monitoring trends in both customers and products. Preparing the month end P&L's and performance review packs distributed to the business Attending area and regional monthly management meetings where required Reviewing and challenging the operational cost base and identify areas for efficiency's Supporting the Finance Business Partners with the budget/re-forecast process of nominated areas Reviewing under-performing areas of the business; making recommendations to the Finance Manager and Operational Director Undertake month end reconciliations of the stock balance sheet accounts and investigate differences (Margin Analysis) Assisting in the preparation for the half year and year end external audit for the service business areas Undertaking any other analysis/projects as required by the Head of Operations Finance Managing the interactions with Internal and External customers Acting as a liaison between the operational management Attend management meetings where appropriate Reviewing KPIs and Financial information to ensure that we are consistently improving our performance Leading regular reviews to improve Customer service, performance and productivity To apply for the role you must be: Part qualified CIMA / ACCA Have a strong background in Management Accounts Have good reporting and analytical skills Knowledge in working with ERP applications and have advanced Excel Have worked in a highly commercial business previously Be Self motivated but works independently as well as part of a team Proven record of meeting deadlines Be assertive, conscientious and customer focused Have the ability to apply judgement in problem solving
