Our client, a highly regarded global FTSE listed organisation, with a reputation for quality and innovation, is looking to source a Group FC to join on an interim contract for c10 months. The role will be responsible for the financial reporting team, with 2 direct reports, ensuring all financial accounting and external reporting is delivered on time and to the highest standard. This is an exciting role in a group business which may therefore lead to further opportunities to gain exposure to M&A and other significant corporate development activity, such as capital programmes, restructuring, investments and partnerships, including planning & modelling, transaction support, business integration and acquisition accounting. Main duties include: Leading and delivering half year and year end reporting processes, ensuring accurate financial reporting in accordance with IFRS; this includes owning the preparation and review of Group's financial statements Managing the Groups half year and year end audit process Supporting the Group FC in the leadership and management of all Group financial activities regarding technical accounting, risk and tax Leading the process of monthly reporting in the consolidation system Taking responsibility for all day to day corporate/plc accounting matters, including the review and submission of budget, forecasts and strategic plan Coordinating the process of the preparation and review of statutory accounts for all entities across the Group Leading on all areas of tax management for the Group Providing any ad hoc analysis and financial support Key skills & experience required: High calibre qualified accountant with at least 5 years' PQE with a minimum 2 years' in a similar external reporting focused role Proven track record in a PLC environment Excellent technical accounting expertise and knowledge of IFRS and tax requirement of a listed group Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels and from non-finance backgrounds It's an exciting time to join the group, with strong organic growth across various divisions, giving the successful individual a great chance of longer term opportunity, past the initial tenure.
