As Cluster Financial Controller you'll produce accurate reports including forecasting revenue, costs and profitability, P&L accounts and budget packs. You will also be responsible for monitoring the correct billing of revenues and cash control. Ensuring efficient control systems are in place for forecasting and controlling expenditure including payroll and gross margins are a key part of the role. Based in St Albans location, overview Two Hotels with the help of hotels finance assistants. Preparation and review of Profit & Loss and Cash Flow Forecast Preparation of monthly management accounts Full monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliations Posting monthly account adjustments, prepayments, accruals, revenue, Assets, other expenses, and other profits. Preparation of statutory accounts with external accountants. Maintaining SAGE 50, including Year End Submission of quarterly VAT returns, through SAGE 50 (MTD) Responsible for cost control, budgeting and variance analysis. Reviewing AR Reports received from the Hotels and managing the outstanding balances. Report and reconcile daily revenue, prepare daily, management information for hotel from Brilliant/ Opera. Oversee stocktakes for beverage, liaise with all HOD's regarding departmental P&L's, gross profit %, support General Manager with P& L analysis and training for managers. Processing of purchase orders and invoices, input into accounts system coding correctly to nominal codes, pay suppliers in accordance with the company's financial policy. Deal with supplier queries, ensuring supply is maintained at all times to cost centres. Report payroll costs by department and input into nominal ledger. Reviewing and reconciling Hotel Petty Cash books/ float and postings. The Ideal Candidate It's essential for this role that you have experience in the hospitality sector, preferably in hotels. You should be skilful in the use of Microsoft Excel, Sage, Fourth, Opera/ Brilliant and ideally be HOSPA or ACCA/CIMA qualified. Benefits:
