As a summer associate you will be given a unique insight into how the firm operates, working closely with internal and external clients on live projects. Who Can Apply This program is open to students currently working towards an advanced degree such as an MBA, JD, PhD, MD, or LLM and is usually undertaken during the second or penultimate year of study. While your discipline or major are not important, we do expect a level of knowledge of the industry and the products and services we offer. About the Program Our summer associates are given all the opportunities and responsibilities of a full time employee. Over the 9 week program you will be given the opportunity to work with and learn from some of the most talented professionals in the industry. All our interns take part in a one-day firmwide orientation where you'll learn about our culture, as well as the benefits and responsibilities of being a member of Goldman Sachs. You will also receive division-specific training designed to help you succeed in your division. Successful Summer Associates may be invited back to join our New Associate program in a full time position.
