Your new company
Hays are delighted to be working with a large, global manufacturing organisation based in Worcester who have an interim Accountant vacancy in their finance team. My client is looking for an experienced Accountant to start immediately for a period of 3-6 months.

Your new role
Based in a busy accounts office and reporting into the Finance Manager, you will be required to offer support across a number of key areas.

Key duties:

• Support the accounts team with month-end duties
• Production of management accounts
• Preparing accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations
• Assisting with year-end including statutory accounts preparation
• Responsibility for preparing variance analysis and writing commentary
• EC Sales List and Intrastat submissions/reporting
• Analytical and ad hoc project work as required

What you'll need to succeed

• Qualified or part-qualified Accountant - ACA/ACCA/CIMA
• Working knowledge of SAP
• Competent user of MS Office with strong Excel skills (Pivot Tables and VLookUps)
• Manufacturing experience (highly desirable)
• German language skills (desirable)
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and to strict deadlines
