I am working with a market leading national logistics specialist operating across a number of markets who have a permanent job vacancy within their finance department. Due to an internal promotion this vacancy has been created and would suit an ambitious accountant hungry for career development and progression.

Your new role
In this job you will provide general ledger services and support the accounts payable department for the wider group. This will include ensuring compliance with policies and recording expenditure requests, monitoring actual spend, fixed assets and cash forecasting. You will assist with month end process including accruals and prepayments, reconciliations as well as statutory accounts and VAT returns as well as supporting with project work as required.

What you'll need to succeed
We are looking for applicants who are studying a recognised accounting qualification - CIMA, ACCA or ACA with previous finance experience, ideally good working knowledge of accounts payable. You should be self-driven with ability to manage workload to tight deadlines. You should have good finance systems experience - Excel and SAP knowledge would be beneficial but not essential.
