ROLE PROFILE Senior Pricing Analyst What is the purpose of the job?
• Looking for a motivated individual that applies pricing strategy and revenue management subject matter expertise to support the business. The Strategist will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop comprehensive pricing recommendations. We are looking for someone who can operate at both strategic and tactical levels, enjoys analysing data, draws actionable insights from the data and research, and possess excellent communication skills. Peron in this role will help optimize pricing for existing offers, define monetization strategies for new offerings and ensure successful pricing execution. What needs to be done? • Supports multiyear pricing strategies and revenue plans for group brands
• Performs pricing analysis and makes recommendations to help advance revenue goals
• Evaluates effectiveness of pricing strategies and makes recommendations
• Develops pricing roadmaps and revenue models in support of new product development
• Develops customer models for profitability, loyalty and likelihood to purchase
• Leads annual repricing process and implements pricing
• Build and refresh market pricing models used within the optimisation framework
• Build automated reports to produce key performance indicators for the stakeholders
• Support Impact Analysis for rate recommendations and new pricing structures
• Research and Monitor competitor pricing activity
• Understand existing pricing models and ensure their appropriate use and application
• Interact effectively and build strong relationship with the customers
• Collaborate with colleagues from across the business to deliver key projects such as rating enhancements, price optimisation and life-time value modelling What needs to be done? (Tasks/ Activities) Specifics, if applicable (With Whom/ What)
• Investigate all available sources of information to recommend changes to the pricing team that help achieve volume and profit targets across all products and brands
• Apply in-depth understanding of how the business works and performs to structure analysis appropriately and recommend actions that will improve the company's performance
• Interpret analysis results and communicate recommendations to the Group General Manager responsible for pricing. Knowledge Skills (Expert Ability) Experience (Proven Expertise) Qualifications Essential: Highly computer literate with in-depth knowledge of statistical software packages A well organised and logical approach, with attention to detail and good communication skills are essential as is the ability to demonstrate an in-depth understanding of how the business works and performs Essential: Computer literate. Ability to quickly build credibility and relationships with key personnel. Good communication skills, both written and verbal. Essential: Proven track record pricing insurance products. In depth knowledge and experience of insurance pricing and statistical modelling techniques Essential: Degree with substantial mathematical/statistical content, ideally supported by a Masters / PhD
