We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Accountant to assist with the efficient operation of accounting and financial procedures within a busy Dealership You will work closely with the accounts team and various line managers as appropriate Cashiering responsibilities - banking, petty cash Group recharges - compiling comprehensive recharges on a monthly basis for distribution to Financial Controllers/Dealership Accountants. Dealing with any queries which may arise Responsibility for the monthly accounting procedures and reporting Upkeep of the vehicle stocking facility, including monthly reconciliations Administration and monthly reporting of company fuel cards Bank reconciliation Car Benefit Schemes - responsibility for the accounting and reconciliation of the car benefit scheme invoices and employee deductions Updating monthly reconciliations including, but not exclusive of, PSA and Corporation Tax Assistance in the production of various management reports in line with Group standards Providing support with other group wide accounting tasks You will be well presented with excellent communication and organisational skills You must be numerate, enthusiastic, self-motivated and able to work as part of a team You must be conscientious and demonstrate high attention to detail while maintaining accurate accounting records, AAT Qualified level 3 or above You must have a flexible approach to your duties and a willingness to learn
