Orka Financial are currently recruiting for a software business in Newbury that requires a Group Financial Accountant for a 6 month contract. Position Overview § Provide resource in the Group Finance team during the pre and post year end period (group year-end 30 September) § Supporting the year end audit process and preparation of the group budget Main Duties § Review of monthly accounts received from each reporting unit (UK, US, South Africa, Netherlands) identify key trends and risks in the financial data and compile the monthly consolidated board pack § Month end reporting (headcount metrics, orderbook, sales pipeline) - Excel based § Covenant reporting § Year-end consolidation work (multiple jurisdictions and currencies), disclosures (FRS102), impairment reviews, dealing with auditor queries. Business combination accounting. § Review of budget packs from regional teams, challenging assumptions and compiling the group board budget submission § Monthly bookkeeping for the group holding companies § Ad hoc work and tasks as may be required from time to time Skills Required § Recognised professional accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) § UK GAAP proficiency - experience of multiple currency consolidation § Advanced Excel - V-lookups, financial modelling, large datasets, best practice § Excellent verbal and written communication skills. § Software usage (ERP familiar, Excel, PowerPoint) § Energetic, self-starter who relishes the challenges of a fast-moving business environment This role is paying between £300 and £350 per day and has parking available on site. Experience of multi-currency group consolidations is essential.
