Assistant Accountant Taylor Howes are looking for an enthusiastic and bright Assistant Accountant to work full time alongside the Chief Accountant. The right candidate will have impeccable attention to detail, excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and a first-rate work ethic. The company is a high end interior design studio working at the very top of the international market, the Knightsbridge studio is a creative, open plan environment with a team of 40. A positive attitude, ability to work within a team and under own initiative is essential to fit with the company culture. The Role The Assistant Accountant works closely with the procurement team of 2 and reports directly to the Chief Accountant. Responsibilities of the role include: Accurate preparation and maintenance of financial records Purchase ledger and twice weekly payment run Processing purchase invoices, expenses and credit cards Regular monitoring and reconciliation of supplier accounts Dealing with daily queries from suppliers Updating daily sales reports and bank reconciliations Liaising with design team to co-ordinate client billing Raising manual sales invoices Credit control and liaising with customers Complete ad-hoc projects given by Chief Accountant & Finance Director Financial reports & analysis Bank reconciliations on all bank accounts Preparing quarterly VAT reports and returns for review Skills The role will be ideal for an individual who has completed their AAT qualification and is either in the first stages of ACCA or CIMA and at least 2 years accounting experience.
