Looking for an Assistant Management Accountant on a 6 month basis to help a busy finance team - paying up to £35,000 - Bedford Assistant Management Accountant - 6 month contract - potential to go on further - paying up to £35,000 - Bedford Delivery of reporting and providing performance insight & analysis on the performance Production of month end results, including preparation of journals / accruals / prepayments, review of numbers with managers and providing insightful commentary as to the performance against agreed benchmarks and also production of detailed month end analysis and commentary on monthly performance and trends Reconciliation of key financial information to source systems (including Audit prep) Responsible for production of information used in the Board presentations and issue to Group and responsible for further analysis required for month-end, reporting in a timely manner Supporting the planning and forecasting process in producing timely updates to the central P&L and relevant commentary / analysis of movements Production of balance sheet reconciliations and analysis of risks and opportunities and working to constantly improve efficiency and quality of information provided in order to improve stakeholders understanding Assisting with implementing new expense system Minimum skills and experience required - Assistant Management Accountant Part qualified or starting to study ACCA/CIMA Finance background covering month end analysis, looking at variances alongside explaining them Advanced user of Excel with the ability to perform lookups, pivot tables and ideally macros Analytical mind-set Ability to work to deadlines with a can do attitude, and someone who wants to work within a team and work as a team
