Key Accountabilities - Assistant Finance Controller The purpose of this role is to support the Financial Controller in the smooth running of the department, to ensure that all financial transactions are carried out in accordance with company procedure and to ensure that processes and controls and in place, monitored and reviewed. Duties include: - Ensuring daily revenues are checked and controls are in place - Producing Daily Revenue Reports for HODs meetings - Updating Opera daily and running End of Day - Allocating Purchase Orders after reviewing monthly budget - Matching invoices received with Purchase Order/Coding accurately - Raising cheque requisitions - Checking/Posting Daily Bankings - Checking Commission - Assisting Financial Controller with weekly/monthly forecasting - Assisting FC with month end procedures and producing P&L - Assisting FC with reconciling certain Balance Sheet Controls - Bank Reconciliations - Assisting with monthly stock counts - Monitor and review Food GP% on a daily basis - Reviewing petty cash - Monthly Float Count - Action payroll adjustments - Review agency costs - Adhoc Admin duties to support the successful operation of the department - Able to create Excel reports when necessary - To cover for FC when necessary - To supervise Finance Assistants and to provide cover for the role as and when necessary - Reconcile Micros to Opera - Review Negative postings and refunds - Conduct daily audit and produce audit report - Review change orders This is not an exhaustive list; other tasks will be required in order to ensure the smooth running of the Finance Department. Essential Skills: - Advanced Excel skills - Studying AAT/CIMA - Highly organised/strong eye for detail - Able to prioritise and work to deadlines - Ability to work under own initiative Experience using TNA Wizard would be beneficial but not essential as full training will be given.
