Title: Financial Controller Contract type: Permanent

Location:
Hertfordshire Salary - £50,000 benefits MET Recruitment is working with an independent catering company looking to add a Financial Controller to their Hertfordshire team.

Responsibilities:
?Abide by industry-wide regulations to provide financial services to all departments and stakeholders ?Maintain good working relationships with all third-party providers including pension providers, legal parties, SERCO and other partners while being figurehead for the internal finance department ?Work closely with the CEO and senior leaders to provide new approaches and analytical advice in order progress business plans while assisting in any financial decisions ?Meet any reporting requirements in relation to the relevant accounting principles and ensure line of contact remains good between external auditors and the internal team for statutory accounts ?Carry out DD (due-diligence) checks prior to signing any major contracts/ lease agreements ensuring all financial records are accurate ?Sustain relations with bankers to manage investments and cashflow while taking charge of company's treasury ?Communicate with all levels of staff throughout the company to spread financial information, through conducting financial update during meetings, training etc. Experience: ?Hold relevant accounting qualification ( ACCA, ACA, CIMA) ?First-hand commercial/ trading experience highly preferred, ideally within the education or catering sector ?Good understanding of the four key financial processes with excellent financial management skills ?Deep knowledge of accounting principles, policies and regulations and how they apply to relevant settings ?Very good communication skills at all levels, with strong English, numeracy and analytical skills ?Proven leadership experience within a financial environment presenting advisement throughout the business ?Uphold high professional standards and integrity at all times, as required to represent company to Directors, shareholders and external parties ?Outstanding IT skills in Microsoft Office and email systems Please contact Mark Taylor on (phone number removed) to find out more about the position or submit your CV through the apply button
