Transaction Reporting Remediation Analyst
ChesterLine of Business: Transaction ReportingHere in our Chester office we are looking for a talented individual to join our Transaction Reporting (TR) team.TR Operations is responsible for ensuring the completeness, accuracy and timeliness of the Bank's transaction reporting obligations across multiple global regulatory jurisdictions. The global team is functionally aligned into the following teams: Submission Control, Enhanced Quality Assurance, Delegated Reporting, Remediation, Initiatives and Governance.This role is within the Remediation team within Transaction Reporting Operations. The purpose of the team is to apply analytical and project management expertise to Transaction Reporting breaches which have been identified, working with colleagues in Compliance, Operations and Technology until resolved. This is a very hands on role, ideal for someone who has a keen eye for detail, yet also seeks the autonomy of managing and delivering on remediation projects.What will your main responsibilities involve?Business Analysis throughout full project lifecycle including definition of problem statement, requirements, creation and execution of test plans, and ensuring business readiness for implementationLeading the delivery of remediation items, across multiple work-streams, working with the business and technology to ensure timely remediationPartner with the business SMEs, Technology and ComplianceHandle risk and ensure documentation is in place to record the details of project delivery and testing to audit standardDay to day contact person for Technology Agile teams, providing input into scrums and creating business documentation and tracking deliverables as requiredWorking with other change teams, to identify impacts onto Transaction Reporting and ensure that appropriate UAT or Regression testing is performedHandling the back-reporting of all remediation items, including working with technology teams to define the requirements, and co-ordinate the submission of back reportsWhat skills and qualifications will you ideally possess?Regulatory Background:Basic understanding of the regulatory trade and transaction reporting landscape would be idealFamiliar with key regulations covered by TR Ops: EMIR, MIFID (desired: REMIT, SMMD, MIFID II)Prepared to remain current on the regulatory reporting landscape to ensure the firm's reporting remains in step with any changesIndustry Experience: Experience of working in Banking MO, Operations or other relevant functionsExperience in remediating transaction reporting issues, including back-reportingFamiliar with key trade flow components: how trades are booked, cleared, captured, consumed by the reporting systems, processed, submitted to the regulatory / repository)Product specific knowledge inside / outside of transaction reporting operationsExperience in key transaction reporting systems and how they interact with each otherBusiness Analysis / Project Management:Extensive business analysis, project management, data analysis, and testing skills are required for this roleExposure to working with remediation of regulatory mis-reporting is helpfulAble to translate strategies into plans that can be effectively executedDeep understanding of the FS regulatory landscape and experience in leading regulatory projectsExperience in aligning resources in order to deliver sustainable resultsPartner / Client Management:Experience in managing cross-functional senior partnersAbout Bank of America Merrill Lynch Bank of America is one of the world's leading financial institutions, serving individual consumers, small- and middle-market businesses, large corporations and governments with a full range of financial and risk management products and services.
