Salary:
£20.000 - £27.000 - depending on skills and experience with planned 1-2 pay rises within first year. That's why as part of our sustained growth in EU we are recruiting a professional and ambitious Polish Speaking Accounts Assistant / Finance Assistant. It is a Monday to Friday position based in our head office in York. Due to a company branch being located in Poland, ability to speak communicative Polish is fundamental. Qualifications and experience in a similar role is a must. If you have previous experience as Accounts Assistant / Finance Assistant / Bookkeeper / Assistant Accountant you have the experience we are looking for. Your tasks would include (but are not limited to): - Assisting with day to day accounting- Bank reconciliation, Journals, Contras, dealing with all areas of purchase and sales ledger, calculating stock. - Assisting with month end and year end accounting. - Preparation for VAT returns. - Preparation of payroll information. - Dealing with any queries from Bank, Accountants, Customers, Suppliers, Management Team, other employees. - Dealing with Invoice Finance and Import Loans. - Using a variety of software packages, to produce correspondence and documents; maintain records, spreadsheets and databases. - Other invoicing and bookkeeping tasks. You will also be asked to help the Purchasing Manager with calculating import cost, taxes and duties. The successful candidate needs to have the following qualities: - Great work attitude. - Respect for Others. - Infectious Enthusiasm - Commitment to the Job. - Innovative Ideas. - Helpfulness. You also need to have: - Qualifications and experience in similar role. - Very strong attention to detail. - Strong ability in business support role. - Ability to work with a team and under the initiative drawn by self.
