Description

Reporting in the Finance Director you based from the office in Farnham, Surrey you will be responsible for

  • Manage the day to day running of the Head Office Accounts
  • Preparation/ responsibility for monthly quarterly and annual management accounts for the company and composite reporting to manufacturer
  • Managing and mentoring the team
  • Oversee the daily & month end reconciliations of bank accounts to cash book & nominal ledger, investigating & highlighting reconciling differences.
  • Oversee the daily posting of nominal ledger & direct debit/ standing order payments, ensuring coding is to the correct cost centre & category.
  • Preparation of selected and responsibility for all accounts reconciliations.
  • Assistance with additional month & yearend reconciliations of balance sheet control accounts and P & L analysis where required.
  • Responsible for quarterly VAT returns, PAYE issues and compliance with all relevant legislation.
  • Checking & approving submitted bank BACS payments.
  • Assisting with preparation of Statutory Accounts and preparation of year end audit files for external auditors.
  • Responsible for the Credit Control Department.
  • Responsibility for Balance Sheet substantiation and analysis.
  • Assist in increasing the productivity & profitability of the Accounts Department.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies & procedures.

Profile

  • Extensive experience in a busy/ fast paced Accounts Department.
    • Ability to manage and lead a team, whilst influencing to provide best outcomes for the Company.
    • Ability to manage & prioritise a varied workload.
    • Excellent attention to detail.
    • Strong numeration, reporting & analytical skills.
    • Able to provide back-up to Purchase & Sales Ledgers.
    • Advanced Excel skills preferred
    • Excellent communication and influencing skills.
    • Team Player.
    • Flexible approach.

    Job Offer

    £35k - £40K + Bonus of up to 10%

    Working hours 8.30 - 5.00 (one hour for lunch)

    30 days holiday includes 8 days bank holiday's
