I am extremely excited to be working in exclusive partnership with Wales Air Ambulance to recruit their new Assistant Accountant!
In terms of the type of experience I'm looking for, it can come from all sectors; charity, public sector, industry or practice..... the key point is that some exposure to management accounting is quite important...... this can take the form of assistance with journals/prepayments/accruals, any general/nominal ledger work or any experience of assisting with the management accounts preparation....generating reports and so on. In order to be successful in this role, you will need to be experienced with Microsoft Excel for the manipulation and management of high volumes of data. This role would be a brilliant opportunity for an experienced ACCA/CIMA studier who is looking for the next step in their career. Alternatively, if you are AAT qualified or QBE with the right level of experience, your application will be considered. The role will be really varied; there will be tonnes of project work involved so for a proactive "go-getter" this really is a perfect opportunity! You will be able to expand your skill set with elements of costing and procurement........ all the while looking for ways to make Wales Air Ambulance finances work better for the charity.
I can confirm that they will support study subject to you getting started and spending a period in the role to familiarise yourself with the business. You will report in to a great line manager; he is extremely passionate about the organisation and focused on developing and nurturing his team......he will be an awesome mentor!
