Client Details

The business has a strong track record of success since launching it's new products only a short time ago. It operates in the renewable energy sector, and is a fantastic chance for someone who is passionate about giving back to the environment, a part to play in its progress.


Responsibilities will include monthly reporting & statutory accounts, budgeting, cash flow management, designing efficient processes and implementing a new finance ERP system, supporting fund raising requirements, contributing to strategy development and implementation, and staff leadership.

The role will business partner with all senior management, working closely on the commercials of the business as well as traditional accounting. The CFO is looking for the Financial Controller to provide concise, clear management information, which is relevant and timely. There will be the need to present at all levels, so we are looking for a credible confident candidate who is as happy to get involved in the detail as top level strategy.


The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant, who has worked in a leadership capacity. Reporting to the CFO this position needs a candidate who has demonstrated excellent career progression in a small company environment (this is critical) where he/she has been involved in accounting for projects.

We are looking for a hands on, flexible individual who wants to be part of a fast paced and high performing environment, in a business that's inspiring and leading change in the renewable energy sector. You will need to be passionate about the sector, and keen to give back.

We would also like to see that you have been involved in a system implementation from a finance perspective.

Job Offer

A salary of between £80,000 and £90,000 depending on experience. In addition to a flexible working arrangement, you will receive shares in the business, and a discretionary bonus. It is expected that as the business goes through additional rounds of investment, that the package will be extremely lucrative for the right individual in coming years.

The company is based in a site which is out of town, and not near a train station, so although you will have to drive, there is ample parking available.
