You will do this by delivering leading-edge technology to build and deliver unparalleled customised insights that enrich both the performance of businesses and the lives of consumers.About the JobAs our new Business Development Director, your role is central to the delivery of Equifax's commercial growth across the UK&I marketplace.This is a fantastic opportunity for a well networked individual who is looking to take ownership of the function and hold specific accountability for: new business revenue growth, the business retention of major clients, improving profitability and driving the highest possible standards of relationship management across our Financial Institution clients.You will actively engage with the client on a consultative basis to learn its business, anticipate its needs and then create and develop strategic Equifax solutions. You will understand the challenges faced by clients and adapt the use of Equifax solutions to demonstrate a clear return on investment for the customer.Responsibilities of the Business Development Director - Financial Institutions include:Lead new sales opportunities and execute sales process from presentation through to contract negotiations and close, including shaping positive strategic solutions, relating it to the customer's business, creating compelling proposals, understanding the competitor's strengths and weaknesses and differentiating proposalsCreate and drive effective strategic relationships with all key contacts and decision makers within each account in order to maximise business opportunities and ensure retention of top clientsUnderstand client requirements and subsequently develop and implement appropriate services and account sales plans to win significant revenues and drive user adoption of Equifax solutionsLead multi-functional teams to formulate and build significant sales opportunities and deliver strategic client solutionsDevelop best practice sales methodologies and collateral and be a 'knowledge bank' for market and competitor knowledgeDevelop, implement and own financial plans and forecasts by client division and product group. Ensure the accurate completion of all forecasts and account reportingUnderstand and feed into the Equifax long-term business strategy and constructively identify and lead changes that enhance performanceConfidently and effectively pursue and close specific business opportunities by networking with key senior-level decision makers across all relevant client departments, creating and enhancing effective long-term relationships to add significant valueBe a "trusted advisor" to the client that is sought after to solve problems and deliver solutionsRequirementsRequired Skills:Successful sales track record including leading complex high value customer relationshipsAbility to handle accounts with a potential revenue of c10mHas sold and led consultancy projects whilst managing complex strategic relationshipsProven resilience and performance in driving revenue and negotiating deals with long sales cyclesExperience leading complex pricing negotiationsKnowledge of Consumer, Commercial and Marketing Data and/or background in the CRA marketPreferred Skills: A background in Financial Services, ideally in the Credit Card marketWhat Else?
