The role involves: Leveraging tax technical expertise to provide an interface between Tax SME users and Finance Change/IT to ensure that Tax user requirements are appropriately articulated.Promoting an enhanced understanding within Tax of tech and data capabilities, terminology, developments and work practices.Assisting with the development of visualization and data tools and ensuring that new technologies are appropriately leveraged.Working with Finance Change to support the development of a Tax data schema, ontology and lineage which leverages CS firmwide data framework and toolset.Assisting with the iterative development of the Tax technology and data roadmap, addressing user requirements and anticipated external tax and regulatory developments. Ensuring, in conjunction with Finance Change that the Tax roadmap is compatible with and leverages the wider Finance and firmwide technology and data roadmap.Facilitating the review of tax processes to enhance control and efficiency. Open to discussing flexible/agile working.You Offer Experience working in a similar role within a tax department with strong familiarity of tax technical concepts for both direct and indirect taxes.The ability to translate user needs into clear business requirements.A willingness to partner and share knowledge and a desire to democratize an understanding of technology and data concepts for tax SMEs.An interest in the practical application of new and traditional technologies in order to solve both current and anticipated business problems.Recognition of the importance of technology and data for Tax and a desire to move forward with the embedding of technology and data as an enabler for Tax.
