An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Finance Analyst to join a growing luxury leisure business, based in the West End. The position will assist the Head of Finance and CFO with a broad range of duties across the business and will have high levels of exposure to senior management. The successful candidate will be analytically minded with strong commercial acumen and be nearing completion of their accountancy qualification. Description: Provide monthly analysis with commentary on variances and present to senior leadership team. Prepare and present for the approval of the owner an annual financial plan and associated budgets and forecasts. Assist the Head of Group Finance with the consolidation of monthly results, quarterly forecasts and the annual budget. Coordination of the monthly management information pack for review by the Head of Group Finance. Point of contact for the weekly commercial report sent to the executive leadership team. Contribute actively to wider departmental projects, e.g. implementation of any new finance systems. Prepare and present the monthly cash flow projection for the approval of the owner. Implement effective controls and systems with which to report the current performance of the business against the financial plan and relevant budgets. Implement continuous financial audit and control systems to monitor reporting, performance, cash flow models, flow of funds, the adherence to budget, the expenditures, income, the cost of sales and other budgetary items. Manage the day to day transactions of the business and to support the set-up of necessary infrastructure to support a growing office. Provide financial plans and investor information and all other financial and business documents as may be required. Manage and monitor all financial commitments and contracts, including mortgages, loans, directors loan accounts etc. Skills/Experience: Actively studying towards an accountancy qualification (part-qualified/finalist level) Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures Ability to balance complex detail with wider commercial matters Experience establishing new processes and procedures Excellent presentational skills, both verbal and written Strong analytical skills Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures Must be solution driven with sound problem solving skills and a creative approach with the ability to develop new ideas Keen ambition to learn and develop Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise and organise both work and people to tight deadlines Ability to work in a team and also independently Walker Hamill has been a specialist finance and strategy recruiter for 30 years.
