Orka Financial is recruiting for an experienced Billing & Credit Manager to provide a professional and effective billing, WIP & debt management service to the finance team. The role will involve reducing and improving the credit control function, leading a stable credit team working to procedures. The role will be based within the Reading office and will require travel to the London site up to 2/3 times a week. Duties Manage the team of Revenue Controllers and Revenue Control Executives. Standardise revenue control procedures across the firm Review and maintain the bad debt provisions on a regular basis. Monitor lock up of each department and liaising with the Revenue Controllers and Revenue Control Executives to reduce and then maintain levels. Attend meetings as required with Revenue Controllers, Revenue Control Executives, Partners/Business Managers to review accounts receivable/work in progress listings and agree actions required to clear outstanding balances. Assisting where required to chase Partners regarding any outstanding balances Regular meetings with Revenue Controllers and Revenue Control Executives. Meet regularly with Business Managers, providing ad-hoc reporting on WIP, billing and lock up and communicating KPI's to assist with the financial performance of the department. Report regularly to the Managing Partner and Chief Operating Officer regarding the lock up for the firm including required reports for the Operations Board. Ensure Revenue Controllers follow up on any client queries/disputes with Partners/Fee Earners to ensure prompt resolution. Experience Working in a law firm or professional services desirable. Revenue control (incorporating WIP management, billing and credit control) experience is essential. Elite 3E would be advantageous. Salary £35,000 - £40,000
