Investigo are supporting a well established business in Thame with the recruitment for a Assistant Management Accountant role. This is a key role that will offer fantastic exposure and progression. You will provide support to finance stakeholders by ensuring accurate accounting & reporting is created to support the effective financial management of the business. It will require the management of specific lines in the P&L to ensure integrity of accounting as well as regular insight and report production. Key
Responsibilities:
Month End - Overall responsibility for specific P&L lines Ensuring the integrity of the numbers produced by review and subsequent creation and posting of accruals, prepayments and other journals. Provide insight into key variances and assist in review with relevant budget holders. Support the accounting team's month end process by meeting timetabled deadlines and contributing to process close meetings with finance colleagues. Building skills to critically evaluate processes and the control environment with a view to improving and identifying efficiency's. Balance sheet control - Responsibility for balance sheet accounts as relevant to owned specified P&L lines Produce reconciliation of balance sheet accounts up to manager review standard. Skills / Experience Needed: Part-qualified ACCA/CIMA At least 2 years' experience working in a large finance department Excellent attention to detail Comfortable on Microsoft Excel (pivots, v-lookups) If this sounds like a challenge of interest, please apply today
