I am currently working with an exciting business in the media and events space to recruit for an experienced Assistant Accountant to join an established team on a permanent basis. Having recently merged with an international partner business, this role will offer fantastic exposure to an Assistant Accountant looking to take their next step and develop a career in the field. This Assistant Accountant role will initially involve taking full responsibility for managing the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable process which has recently been outsourced, therefore requiring focus on ensuring that both sides of the ledger are operating efficiently. Duties will specifically include coordinating payment runs, ensuring invoices and supporting documentation are correctly submitted, developing close working relationships with other areas of the business, ensuring billing runs are accurate and issued in a timely fashion, owning the credit control process ensuring debts are chased in a timely fashion, supporting the management accountant with cash reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, fixed assets and revenue reconciliations. Additionally as the role progresses there will be scope to take on additional analysis work. This Assistant Accountant role is progressive, requiring somebody enthusiastic with a great work ethic who is looking for the next step but has some prior experience in an accounts capacity covering ideally both accounts payable and accounts receivable duties.
