THE COMPANY: A leading distribution business who work with some of the biggest names on the high street are looking to recruit an exceptional Assistant Management Accountant to join their expanding accounts team. This is a key role in the business reporting directly to the Financial Controller. The company is experiencing rapid and consistent year on year growth and as the company continues to grow so will the scope of this role. They are located south of Bradford with great transport links which makes them ideally located for candidates on Leeds, Huddersfield, Wakefield, Halifax, Dewsbury, Bradford, and surrounding areas. THE JOB: The Assistant Management Accountant will support the Financial Controller and will assist the day to day accounting activities of the company and perform complex reconciliations. You will work within a small team and your responsibilities will include assistance with; The preparation of monthly management accounts Produce various reports Balance sheet reconciliations Maintenance of the fixed assets Manage ledgers and payment runs Provide assistance with year-end duties The successful applicant will become a trusted member of the business, allowing the Financial Controller to focus on more commercial duties. You will be able to work with a high level autonomy in a busy, fast paced and some times challenging environment. You will be able to demonstrate a strong background within a similar accounting role, with strong experience performing complex reconciliations. This is an excellent opportunity for an AAT studier who is nearing the end of their studies or is already qualified and is looking to make a key move into a role with a fast moving company with lots of potential for progression moving forward. THE PERSON: The ideal candidate will:- - Have extremely good communication skills, will be confident presenting themselves to senior management and will be able to challenge ideas when needed. - Be able to develop and build relationships with customers both internal and external. - Be an AAT studier who is at least at Level 3 of their studies or AAT qualified. - Have experience of working within an accounting team and have an understanding of the demands of this type of role. - Be able to work within a fast paced, deadline orientated environment. - Have excellent attention to detail and will pick up new skills quickly. - Have strong Word and Excel skills.
