Lucid Recruitment are currently working with an organisation based in Cardiff. The role provides a great balance between a traditional senior accountant's role of statutory accounts and tax compliance with that of a financial controller, where they operate their client's finances. Responsibilities:
Controlling client bank accounts and payment authorization processes; Reporting to clients of client monies held on account, tour budgets and actual vs budget analysis, cash flow forecasting and analysis; Able to advise/research on international tax issues as well as domestic tax issues; Full accounts preparation for sole traders, partnerships & limited companies; Preparation of management accounts & cash flow statements; Preparation of tax computations, CT600s & self-assessment returns completion; Preparation of VAT returns; Liaise with clients on accounts and tax queries as required; Training junior staff members; Reviewing junior staff members work; Payroll supervision; Book-keeping services and supervision/training of book-keepers; Undertake different ad hoc duties and projects as required; Reporting to partners on a weekly basis of Practice work targets and achievements and KPI's; Reviewing Practice accounts receivables and chasing of any aged debtors; Knowledge & Experience: ACCA / ACA / QBE is preferred; Minimum of 5 years of working experience in a general practice; (music sector experience desirable but not essential) Strong computer skills; Strong analytical, tax and accounting skills; CCH experience is desirable; Xero experience is essential; Payroll experience is preferred; Accuracy in daily work and other projects; Ability to meet communicated schedules and deadlines; Ability to function as a team player, and supervise staff.
