The Role Topps Tiles Finance function in Leicester requires a Purchase / Credit control Clerk to join us on a 6M FTC . This is a great opportunity to join the Topps accounts team across both Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger departments to ensure processes and controls are adhered to, while ensuring suppliers are paid and debtors are settled in accordance with agreed terms. To work with the Accounts Transaction Processing Manager and the rest of the finance team to ensure that the key aspects of the company financial processes are appropriately administered and the information is available in a timely fashion. Ensure that supplier and customer invoices are processed efficiently and settled to agreed timescales and terms. Ensure completion of supplier and customer statements in accordance with the month end accounting timetable. Liaison with other departments to ensure the company purchase and sales ledgers are processed and closed within the agreed timetable. Stakeholders Rest Of Finance Team External Suppliers Other central functions, Stores & field based colleagues The Person Essential Requirements: Good working knowledge of accounting systems - General Ledger, Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger Excellent communication skills. Previous experience as a Purchase Ledger Clerk / Sales Ledger Clerk or in a similar role Able to work at pace and under pressure whilst maintaining accuracy and attention to detail Analytical and problem solving skills Numerate A natural team player Excellent time management , planning and organisation skills High work standards and a strong work ethic with a positive can do attitude Desirable Requirements: Knowledge and experience in Microsoft Dynamics Edi experience Experience of using MS Excel, Word and Outlook at intermediate level or above.
