SF Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Finance Manager for a logistics business in Derby. This role will report directly into the Finance Director. You will be looking after one of the largest and most prestigious contracts and will have full autonomy with 1 direct report. Key
responsibilities:
Analyse actual versus forecasts on every product identifying and explaining any differences and short falls Review target cost forecast margins and assess anticipated costs Production of Business Unit Management Accounts Pack Monthly margin and cost variance analysis on projects and adjust forecasts where applicable. Assist the Account Directors / Managers with cash management and debt Collate incoming orders and update order intake schedule on an ongoing basis - includes order amendments. Update monthly forecast for production and margin Update forecast at month end with actual order figures Prepare annual overhead forecast, estimating forecast and next year budget forecast Monitor unallocated costs and re-charge, where appropriate to projects. You will be a qualified accountant (ACA/ ACCA/ CIMA or equivalent) with previous experience of working in a commercial finance role, ideally within the logistics sector. You will have excellent communication and rapport building skills. You will be able to engage and influence non-finance stakeholders, with a creative mindset and be able to challenge costs and suggest ideas and efficiencies.
