Project-based companies are everywhere, in every sector. Projects and mega-projects worth billions of dollars are being delivered around the world. The Association for Project Management (APM) is the chartered body for the project profession. Our members work in the UK and around the world in different project-based roles, in a range of companies. We are Europe's largest professional body for project experts. APM members can now aim for Chartered status - our new Chartered Project Professional (ChPP) designation was first issued at the end of October 2018. This cohort of ChPP holders comes from a wide range of companies, including Bank of England, Dyson, Microsoft, Turner & Townsend and Simmons & Simmons, as well as a number of consultancies. For those keen to make informed choices about their career, APM has a free Student membership level. This is open to university students, from any degree. This gives you access to networks and knowledge, to help you find the right opportunities for you. APM has a branch network around the country so you are never far from free events where you can build your knowledge and network with a range of project professionals. We also have many Specific Interest Groups (SIGs) which have expertise in different aspects of the profession. Our Women in Project Management SIG celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2018.
