Semi Senior/ Senior Practice Accountant

£30,000 to £50,000 DOE My client are an independent Accountancy and Bookkeeping Firm located in Fulham, currently looking to recruit an ambitious individual to join their team. The Company started a few years ago. There are two Partners and a few Accounts Assistants. They are growing all the time so now the Partner wants to step aside and do Business Development full time to grow the business even more. He is looking for someone to come in that can manage the junior staff and take his place preparing and filing the Accounts. The Practice Accountant role will involve you dealing with clients face to face and having your own portfolio of clients to look after alongside managing members of staff. Your main responsibilities will be: Assisting in the management of workflow and deadlines within the Practice Frequent client interaction Filing all company accounts under FRS102 and FRS105 VAT returns Corporation tax Reviewing work produced/performed by other members of staff as they grow Working with the Partners to set KPI's, goals and objectives, then ensure that they are monitored Responsible for assisting in improving processes and implementing new systems Direct reports as the company grows The ideal candidate for this role will ideally be ACCA/ACA Qualified or near to Qualifying with a good working knowledge of how a Practice operates. A solid appreciation of GAAP and a proven track record of filing Company Accounts under FRS102 would be ideal . You will also ideally have experience in dealing with your own portfolio of clients. Superb communication skills are imperative and an appreciation for first class customer service is key. You must have at least 3 years previous experience working within a similar role within an Accountancy Practice, alongside excellent analytical skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines. The role will be based in my clients Fulham office working normal business hours.
