Top-tier professional services firm requires new Accounting Compliance & Reporting Accountant to join its dynamic Managed Services team in Financial Services - one of its fastest growing areas, operating from a new, recently opened, modern office in Newcastle City Centre. The expansion provides excellent opportunities, gaining hands-on experience of client work, engaging on projects within Accounting Compliance & Reporting - how far you go is up to you. Focussing on the provision of "reporting support" to a broad portfolio of clients the scope of work carried out from this centre of excellence includes, Management Reporting, Bookkeeping, Statutory Accounting (UKGAAP and IFRS), Regulatory Reporting, Treasury and Payroll. Your key responsibilities as Accounting Compliance & Reporting Accountant will include:
• Assist with the delivery of the services set out above
• Work effectively as a team member sharing responsibility, providing support, maintaining communication, and updating senior team members on progress
• Develop and maintain productive working relationships with client personnel, whilst building strong internal relationships within Managed Services and across other areas
• Maintain client confidentiality and ensure data security at all times
• Contribute to people initiatives including training, buddying with new joiners etc.
• Maintain an educational program to continually develop personal skills
• Understand and follow workplace policies and procedures As Accounting Compliance & Reporting Accountant you'll need:
• Experience of IFRS, UK GAAP and/or US GAAP reporting in a Financial Accountant, Management Accountant, Compliance Accountant, Audit Executive, Accounts Executive or Analyst type role - Financial Services experience is also desirable
• ACA / CA / ACCA qualified or equivalent (preferably first time passes). Consideration will also be given to part qualified candidates with relevant practice experience.
• A real desire to develop your technical skills working within a centre of excellence
• Calm, assertive, proactive and flexible approach, with the ability to build strong relationships within large organisations
• Ability to utilise research effectively and explain complex subjects in a clear manner
• Proven ability to analyse and create innovative solutions to challenges
• Effective time management skills and the ability to remain calm when meeting deadlines Rewards:
• Salary £30,000 - £40,000
