Our Client is looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their Accountancy Team at their office in Horsham.

Description

Main Duties:

• Manage the purchase ledger, entering supplier invoices and processing payments

• Manage the billing process, including fees, additional items and discounts and handle billing queries

• Produce weekly reports on debtors

• Manage the collection of fees by monthly direct debit

• Record sundry income, receipts, expenditure and payments in the nominal ledger

• Manage all elements of payroll and pensions, including reporting and returns, processing new staff and leavers, working closely with our managed payroll service provider, dealing with staff payroll queries

• Maintain cash and cheque accounts, bank reconciliations and weekly cash position reporting

• Prepare payments by cheque and BACS

• Assist with the preparation of month end and year end accounts

• Support the Bursar in the preparation of documents for meetings and attend and take the minutes at the Finance meetings.

Profile

The successful candidate:

• Self-motivation, determination and confidence in your abilities

• Experience of working in a finance function

• Excellent Excel and IT skills

• Proven interpersonal and communication skills and advanced excel knowledge.

• A team player that can work to deadlines and manage multiple tasks
