A very progressive company are looking for a Junior Accountant to join a great company based in Feltham. The company offers a fantastic working environment. This role will support the Financial Controls Manager. The Role is a Six-Month Fixed Term Contract. Key Accountabilities: To produce monthly management accounts and all related schedules for Retail stores and HQ To support monthly Group reporting requirements to ensure that retail and HQ results are consolidated into group results To support the preparation of annual statutory accounts and related schedules to ensure reporting timetable adhered to To provide information as requested by Group Tax for completion of the annual return The calculation and processing of journal entries as directed by Manager to ensure that the accounting records correctly record all transactions To complete all month end processing work to enable the preparation of month end reports for the business To maintain and update daily cash flow forecast for operating cash requirement of the business To maintain fixed assets register - including the recording of all processed invoices for fixed assets To produce the monthly Capital Expenditure reporting identifying variances to capital budget and forecasts To perform all Balance sheet reconciliations to GL as directed by Manager and resolve all discrepancies Prepare ad hoc reports as and when requested Specific Requirements: Studying for professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) Initial understanding of statutory framework for corporate accounting/ taxation and of accounts production process to final balance sheet and P&L stage. Strong Microsoft Excel experience required VLOOKUP, Pivot table, if statements. Past Oracle experience, strong SAP experience.
