Salary:
£25k - £35k bonus significant benefits The Role: We're seeking a dynamic yet methodical Assistant Financial Controller to support the month end processes of our UK & Irish entity, by providing robust planning and reporting activities, whilst ensuring effective financial control procedures are in place and being followed effectively. This will include supporting and maintaining the Finance Compliance and internal frameworks, accrual and provision preparations, intercompany and general ledger reconciliations and accounting close. You'll take ownership and responsibility for the weekly, monthly and management reporting files and trackers, ensuring all accounts are fully reconciled and have supporting documentation. You'll prepare the VAT and other statutory returns and be heavily involved in supporting internal and external audits. In this hands-on role, you'll be making a difference from day one. This is a genuinely exciting time to join our supportive team and to be part of its on-going development into the future. The Person: With significant experience in a similar fast-paced role, ideally within a multi-national manufacturing organisation, you'll be a qualified or part-qualified Accountant (CIMA / ACA / ACCA) with real world experience. This will ideally include experience of managing financial ledgers, manufacturing costing and project work. With strong numerical and analytical skills, you're experienced in using financial systems, but also possess advanced Microsoft Excel abilities (e.g. v-lookups, pivot tables, complex formulas) and are happy using spreadsheets where formal systems are still evolving. With a strong commercial acumen, you clearly understand business priorities, challenges and different organisational structures, and can navigate cultural differences with ease. Your strong communication and interpersonal skills mean you enjoy working as part of a team and you're comfortable liaising at all levels of seniority. You have strong organisational and time management skills, always happy to support your colleagues, but also able to work on your own initiative taking responsibility for resolving issues and queries. You're not fazed by changeable work environments and shifting priorities and are used to holding people to account to drive continuous improvements. Balanced with this, you're known for being proactive, positive and welcoming, and someone who takes pride in doing a good job. The Rewards: In return, we offer a competitive salary package (with bonus scheme), a generous pension scheme and 27 days' holiday (plus bank holidays) per year. We also offer a range of other benefits to support our team, including free parking, cycle to work scheme, subsidised restaurant facilities and healthcare options. Not to mention the opportunity to be part of a progressive and expanding business with increasing global reach, and the support of ongoing training and development.
