Financial Accountant; Newport; Contract 6 months Our client based near Newport is looking for a Financial Accountant to coordinate the provision of accounting, planning, analysis and controlling for assigned business areas - Coordination, preparation, analysis and reporting of Monthly Financial Accounts for assigned Business Areas for review by Team Leader, delivered in a timely manner and accurate, adhering to relevant accounting standards - Preparation and input of the monthly results to the internal financial reporting tool on time and on quality - Preparing and maintenance for the Balance Sheet and all reconciliations reporting to the Team Leader for review - Assist where required in external audits, risk registers, ethic & compliance and continuous improvement projects - Business and organisational change, ensuring that financial accounting and reporting structures are designed and implemented in line with these requirements - Delivery of internal reporting tool on time, on quality - All accounting to be in accordance with financial standards - Ensuring that both existing and new systems implementations are supported and optimised to improve information management - Financial acumen and understanding is improved across all functional areas of the organisation - Coordination, preparation, analysis and reporting of Monthly Financial Accounting for assigned entities - Analysis, presentation and reporting of financial data to internal tool for assigned entities with reconciliations to SAP - Ensure that all accounts are prepared in accordance with accounting standards - Delivery and maintenance for the Balance Sheet accounts and all reconciliations reporting to the Team Leader for review. You will be preferably ACCA, ACMA or ACA qualified, or studying for full qualification along with the following; Detailed experience of financial accounts preparation Ability to coordinate and communicate within a complex business model, across all levels of the organisation Microsoft Office - Particularly Excel & Word, essential Ability to work under pressure to strict deadlines whilst maintaining high quality of output The role is a wide ranging one that requires interaction with individuals both in UK and our foreign colleagues The role requires coordination, preparation and reporting of data across, requiring communication with a diverse selection of individuals from Cost Centre Managers to Business Managers other functional areas within the UK. Essential aspects of the role to be considered; - Management of diverse and complex business relationships - Coordination of preparation of monthly financial accountants to strict company deadlines - Prioritisation of demanding and sometimes conflicting data requests - The ability to pick up and deliver complex urgent business requirements outside the scope of normal operational requirements - Assessment and delivery of business change Morson is acting as a recruitment business in relation to this vacancy
