THE COMPANY: This business is an established and highly reputable construction business based in Leeds. The company have recently been through a period of growth, and as a result, are now looking to recruit a career driven and committed Financial Controller, to work directly alongside the Finance Director. THE JOB: The role will report head up a small finance team of 3, and be responsible for the following key duties: Manage a Finance Manager and two Finance Assistants Preparation of accurate and complete Management Accounts including profit & loss balance sheet, balances reconciliation for review and approval by the FD implementation, monitoring and checking of system and process controls Prepare & manage rolling 12 month and 13 week cash flow forecast Ensure monthly balance sheet & control account reconciliations are completed Manage the aged debtor report and credit control Manage the purchase ledger function ensuring accuracy and completeness, review and authorisation of supplier invoices, review of the aged creditor list and supplier BACS payment batches are processed each month Review and authorisation of payroll, ensuring that all related payments (PAYE/NI, pension contributions, attachment of earnings) are made by the relevant deadline Manage the VAT Return and CIS monthly submission Attend monthly board meetings with Board as part of the Management Team Ensure all bank accounts are reconciled at least weekly Prepare the year-end audit file and tax packs in line with the timetable agreed with the Auditors, Tax Advisers and Group FD. Ensure the audit and draft statutory financial statements and tax return are completed in line with the agreed timetable Prepare the annual Budget, including capital expenditure and cash flow forecasts, in line with the timetable agreed with the FD THE PERSON: The business are looking for an ambitious, knowledgeable and commercially focused finance leader, with the following key experience/qualifications: ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified with ideally more than 3 years PQE Experience working within a construction business Experience of CIS & sub-contractor payments Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel Ability to communicate confidently with people at all levels Able to prioritise work based on deadlines and important THE BENEFITS: On site parking Company pension scheme Fantastic plush office environment Bonus scheme Private medical Brewster Partners Recruitment Group focuses on the recruitment of talent in South Yorkshire, West Yorkshire, North Yorkshire, East Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire.
