Job Introduction Due to the ever evolving regulatory landscape within Financial Services, we are looking to add a strategically minded Regulatory Reporting Accountant to our Capital and Regulatory Reporting Department. Collaborating with our Credit Risk and Finance Departments and feeding directly into the wider business strategy, you will prepare accurate internal and external capital and regulatory reporting information. Main Responsibilities Each month you will be required to support the planning and preparation of a number of pieces of work, these include; the regulatory returns for submission to the regulators; monthly management information, which details current and forecast capital and leverage positions and statutory reporting in the annual report and the half year statement. You will also support the preparation of stress and scenario testing, recovery and resolution planning and Pillar 3 disclosures. To help support your work within the team it is important that you keep up to date with current, new and emerging prudential regulation ensuring that all policies, procedures and practises comply and present bes t practise. Supporting the production of the ICAAP will also form a key part of this role, informing risk appetite, strategy and ongoing risk management. You will proactively produce and analyse data to add value from a variety of sources and prepare relevant recommendations to aid decision making. Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone with an analytical and strategic mind-set with the ability to interpret and manipulate various sources of data. You will have a strong understanding of process and controls with the ability to organise work towards tight deadlines. Attention to detail is essential as you will have to make sure all your work is accurate. Although some Capital Regulation experience would be desirable, this is not essential as the commitment to learn and grow within the team is most important. You will have experience in finance and a background in risk would also benefit you in this role but is not essential. You will be qualified in a professional qualification such as; ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent which will give you a strong background for the position.
