Credit Manager Monday to Friday 08:45 to 17:00 Salary - Competitive Due to our continued success as one of the country's leading suppliers of heavy commercial vehicles we have an exciting opportunity for a Credit Manager. Based at our Milton Keynes office you will be responsible for maintaining the sales ledger by the control of credit facilities and overseeing both cash collection and cash allocation for all business units within Scania GB Ltd. Essential Duties & Job Responsibilities Below is a list of the key areas of the job but it is not exhaustive and job holder may be required to carry out other tasks at the request of their manager. Review the Credit Policy on an annual basis, ensuring it meets standards and Corporate Governance both within Scania GB Ltd and Scania Global and Volkswagen.and meets with Board Approval. To manage a team of 11 credit controllers and cashiers to maximise cash collection and effective cash allocation in order to maintain the sales ledger accounts To manage the credit processes to reduce credit risk To support the Credit team and all the business areas in making commercial decisions that ensure all governance and business objectives are met. To set realistic targets and objectives for the team and set KPI's in order to monitor progress. To monitor and address all shortfalls to agreed KPI's and targets either with individual team members, the team as a whole or within a business area of Scania GB Ltd. To produce accurate and timely month end reporting. To regularly meet with the various business areas to address any process or procedural issues and to keep them informed of any changes within the Credit Policy. To review Scania GB Ltd credit exposure at least twice year to ensure customers are paying to terms and credit reports support the limits given. Be proactive in looking for improvements to all processes and procedures to maximise cash collection and manage the Sales Ledger function To manage all internal and external audits relative to Accounts Receivable. To authorise and action any bad debt write off up to set levels per Corporate Governance Candidate Requirements Education and/or Experience CICM or qualified by experience Strong track record of dealing with high volume transactions Financial understanding of company accounts and individual business units Previous experience of Autoline system and TM1 Reporting tool would be an advantage Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Self-Motivated and enthusiastic approach Excellent customer service skills Effective verbal and written communication skills Effective time management and organisation skills.
