Why is our Accounting team the next step for you? Working closely with the wider team you will prepare, analyse, report and substantiate the financial results ensuring accurate and timely figures are delivered. Taking ownership of maintaining the Fixed Asset Ledger, various monthly balance sheet and P&L reconciliations and preparation of accruals and prepayments. You'll be supporting the general ledger team with delivery of the P&L and OPEX accounting, reporting and analysis at month end. You will also support all capex process improvement & automation initiatives. With your pragmatic and tenacious approach, you will influence and challenge stakeholders. You will also proactively identify and support process improvement initiatives as part of the Financial Accounting Roadmap to embed a culture of financial control. These continuous improvement plans will be key in supporting Worldpay's growth. What can I expect to be doing on a day to day basis? Review of the P&L to ensure all entries are correctly recorded, including accruals & prepayment preparations and maintenance of schedules Journal preparation and posting to record ledger activities including intercompany and foreign exchange postings Reconcile and maintain sub ledger modules including AR, AP and Purchasing Assist with VAT return preparation and reporting, as outlined by Group Tax Department Review and investigate variances between the P&L and Forecast/Budget Liaise with FP&A to discuss variances and forecasts Manage Foreign Payroll activities, including recording, reconciliation and reporting Involvement in the creation/improvements of accounting processes Month end close activities as directed by the close timetable Contribute to process improvement initiatives, including transactions are recorded correctly 'first-time' Develop existing controls and reporting in line with SOX reporting requirements Liaise with relevant departments to ensure information is correct and reflected in the correct period Balance Sheet reconciliation preparation in line with company policies Management reporting and commentary as required by the business Quarterly reporting to the US involving supplemental schedules, as well as comparing actuals to prior periods Preparation of audit schedules Ad-hoc projects and tasks, as requested by Management team What will make you the ideal candidate? You will have excellent attention to detail along with excellent communication skills. You will be a highly motivated individual with the ability to work to deadlines as a part of the team.
