Regulatory Reporting - Market Surveillance (MIFID II), VP

Responsibilities:
Perform Market Surveillance of our regulatory platform ensuring compliance with MIFID II.Day to day oversight of the quality, completeness and timeliness of our reporting and to ensure all reporting obligations to regulators are met by all business areas.Act as a subject matter expert in MIFID II regulation for the business and coordinate the review of regulatory updates with support, legal, compliance and technology.Operate a culture of continuous review of procedures, seeking to identify potential areas of weakness that may have potential risks to the company.Resolve trade issues and escalate to others as appropriate.Documenting and record retention of issues and outages and reporting these to the various business heads.Create and automate reports on business intelligence software (i.e. Microstrategy) and perform detailed data analysis using various tools (i.e. macros, VBA, SQL and Visio).Demonstrate ability to think quickly, troubleshoot and problem-solve in real-time in a high pressure environment.Develop comprehensive project plans, presenting them to various departments, and meeting strict deadlines based on the scope of the project and resource availability.Stay current on regulations to help support our swap execution facility ("SEF").Individual Contributor Display a culture of individual ownership of tasks to embed a clear individual sense of accountability in performing the roleEnsure that the highest level of the Code of Conduct is displayed in your behaviourProvide appropriate management information as required to support business unit decision makingSupport the 'Risk Excellence' culture within the businessAdhere to limits of delegation and escalation procedures required by your manager so that you comply with internal policies and external regulationsManagerial Demonstrate the 'Risk Excellence' culture in your behaviourMaintain a detailed understanding of :The scope of the role's managerial responsibilitiesThe competence of the staff reporting to youEnsure that your team has clear understanding of their reporting lines, authority levels, scope of responsibilities (including those delegated to them and those they delegate), objectives, training and competency requirements plus progress is reviewed regularly in line with Company policy, and are regulatory registered where appropriate for their roleDevelop effective working relationships and communications with staff and ensure that staff are motivated, developed and supported.Establish and monitor systems of control, delegated authority and escalation procedures so that the business complies with internal policies and external regulations and can be managed effectivelyAdhere to the delegation and oversight (management information and escalation) framework in the performance of daily tasks. This includes taking proactive action to ensure there is adequate production of management information that is fits for purpose, and issues are raised as appropriateEstablish and monitor an effective delegation framework to ensure that tasks are performed by staff members with appropriate capacity and authority level (based on knowledge, skills and competence).Establish and monitor an effective oversight framework to ensure that issues are appropriately identified, escalated and resolved. This includes: a) ensuring that appropriate management information is received, considered and challenged as appropriate at intervals proportionate to the risks; and b) that staff members have clear understanding of the escalation path/principlesEstablish and nurture a culture of 'Risk Excellence' within the team, encourage an environment of openness that welcomes effective challenge and supports open discussion.Ensure that you make reasonable decisions by exercising reasonable care when considering information available to you. This includes taking proactive action to ensure that the information you have is suitable and adequate.Establish and nurture a culture of individual ownership of tasks to embed a clear individual sense of accountability into staff members' behaviour in performing their roles.Ensure that the highest level of the Code of Conduct is displayed in your own and staff behaviour.Skills/qualifications/experience:Master's degree or equivalent, in Business Administration with focus in FinanceStrong experience in FX and financial markets.Experience in FX trading applications along with a solid understanding of FX Trading.FX Product knowledge (Spot trading, Forwards, Swaps, L&D) along with the various order parameters around these products including but not limited to algo order types.Demonstrate technical skills on data analysis and reporting including Macros, VBA, SQL and Visio.Linux, Shell scripting, Perl and basic system admin type experience.Ability to work under pressure in a time sensitive, deadline driven environment.Demonstrate the ability to think quickly, troubleshoot and problem solve in real-time.Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills in both verbal and written form.Experience in developing comprehensive project plans, presenting them to various departments and meeting strict deadlines based on the scope of the project and resource availability.External advertising opening date: 10th June 2019 - Close date 9th July 2019
