Great opportunity to join a fast paced high growth technology business as an Interim Financial Controller to cover maternity leave for 6 months. Managing a team of up to six people you will: Responsible for the team's production of monthly management accounts, including timely ledger posting of month end journals, plus all variances are understood and deliver insightful commentary. Ensuring compliance with all relevant statutory, regulatory and corporate guidelines. Controlling, monitoring and reporting on costs/actuals against budget/targets and reporting as appropriate. Improving the controls within the business and managing the financial processes, including discussions with other departments about business controls. Ensure that balance sheet reconciliations are completed/reviewed to agreed deadlines with all reconciling items investigated and resolved promptly. Management and ownership of monthly payroll process including year end payroll reporting on P35s, P60s, P11ds. Preparation of deliverables for the annual and internal audits. Ensure that the impact of new systems, processes or initiatives are appropriately considered and incorporated into existing reporting and controls environment. Supervising and mentoring a team, delegating tasks and ensuring they are completed within a specific time-frame, in addition to conducting performance reviews. Lead and assist with multiple projects. The ideal candidate will be fully qualified and previous experience as a Financial Controller with strong team management skills. The ability to build relationships across the business with all stakeholders essential, as is a self-starter who can work on their own initiative, ability to plan and hit deadlines.
