Office Angels are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a Qualified Accountant. This is a full - time role, located in Edinburgh. Office hours are to be 40hrs per week, Monday - Friday, between 09:00AM-17:00PM. However the client has a degree of flexibility regarding the days you work. Salary £25,000 per annum - £30,000, depending on experience. Job Description: Our client seek an experienced and fully qualified Accountant to join their Financial team. You must possess an Advanced Degree in Accounting (CMA or a similar qualification) and be a fully qualified already with prior experience Accountant with prior experience in a similar role. General Responsibilities & Duties: Responsible for all purchase ledger duties Responsible for all sales ledger duties. Process bank payments and receipts with UK and foreign accounts. Conduct month end and year end close process. Compute taxes and prepare tax returns, balance sheet, profit/loss statement. Prepare budget and financial forecasts. Publish financial statements in time. Collect, analyse and summarise account information. Develop periodic reports for management. Audit financial transactions and document accounting control procedures. Process payroll and overtime ensuring all employees are paid on time. Conduct timely reporting to HMRC and Pension Administrators. File on-line EC sales lists and Intrastat figures. Experience, Skills, Attributes Required: Must be a fully qualified accountant and possess an Advanced Degree in Accounting (CMA or similar qualification). Thorough knowledge of Accounting and Corporate Finance. Technical expertise in Accounting. Good working knowledge of Micrsoft Excel and Word. Good working knowledge of Sage Payroll. Strong attention to detail and confidentiality. A methodical approach and problem solving skills. Communication Skills. Team work ability. Integrity in work ethic. Excellent communication and team work ability. Must have strong organisational skills and be able to manage own deadlines.
