The business is going through a period of change and this is truly a great time for a technically capable accountant to play a pivotal role within the team. Key Responsibilities Planning and preparation of the consolidated financial statements of the main and subsidiary companies in line with current accounting regulations Leading the management and coordination of the year end process liaising directly with external stakeholders Advising on Statutory/Regulatory changes impacting on financial reporting within the company, developing and implementing appropriate actions, as required. Ensuring the accounting policies adopted by the company are optimal for its reporting and provide guidance to business stakeholders Responsibility for the monitoring and control of the companies balance sheets reconciliations, ensuring all accounts are reconciled each period end and any queries are investigated Supporting the Financial Controller in Treasury Management activities, including long-term and short-term forecasting and liaising with external stakeholders on these matters Partnering with the Financial Controller in the strategic management of cash resources, identifying new investment opportunities. Profile ACA/ACCA qualified with 2 years experience Experience of preparing consolidated financial statements under regulations and achieving clean audit reports Strong technical accounting practice within recent roles Ability to interact and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders Strong systems and IT skills The Company A rapidly changing and demanding environment within a very well respected and established business with multiple sites, with the post being based in Cheltenham Salary & Benefits The successful candidate will be offered a base of £39,000-£48,000 benefits, dependant on experience.
