An international insurance business that operates across 12 countries globally is looking for an experienced Financial Controller to look after their non-UK entities. Working closely with the CEO, you will need to be aware of cultural nuances of the regions as well as any regulatory differences that need adhering to. In this role you will be responsible for; - Providing monthly financial monitoring of the overseas operations - Providing commentary on management accounting information of the overseas operations to senior executives - Working with local management on the budget preparation - Manage P&L and cash forecasting process for the overseas operations - Identify potential revenue enhancement and cost saving opportunities in the overseas operations, - Manage legal work including shareholder agreements - Resolve accounting and tax issues whilst setting up new ventures - Financial evaluation of new opportunities, optimising overseas tax structures, ensuring overseas operations comply with group policies - Providing advice to overseas subsidiaries as and when needed Whilst the business is looking for a technically capable candidate, a key area of this role is business partnering and stakeholder management. To be considered, you must be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) who has ideally worked in the insurance broking market, however candidates from a broader non-life insurance market may be considered.
