Are you a commercially focussed Accountant looking for a new role as a Finance Business Partner? Marks Sattin are working with a market leading business who are looking to expand their team. Key Responsibilities Analyse and interpret investment spend and performance, highlighting and understanding issues and opportunities with appropriate recommendations. Proactively challenge decision-making based on sound financial and commercial reasoning. Provide high quality financial insight and guidance to stakeholders based on commercial understanding of the business. Perform investment appraisal analysis of strategic projects and undertake performance monitoring. Attend and be an integral part of senior team meetings with the relevant functions providing financial insight and commercial context. Manage the month end accounting process ensuring all costs are correctly accounted for and any future risks or opportunities vs. budget are understood. Drive cost control across the teams. Support the budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes. Manage weekly and monthly performance reporting and produce specific reporting against strategic initiatives where required. Challenge processes, identify weaknesses and provide recommendations to support the development of more robust processes and controls. Monitor performance against targets on a weekly/ monthly basis, including month end reporting. Produce ad-hoc analysis as required. Key Skills/Experience ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with strong technical skills, may look at strong PQ. Commercial awareness and experience of acting as a business partner to senior colleagues. Proactive, ambitious and self-motivated. Strong interpersonal, problem-solving and analytical skills. Highly organised, multi-tasking skills, and ability to operate in within tight deadlines. Strong impact and credibility. Ability and confidence to influence and challenge decision-making. Advanced Excel skills.
