We are searching for an Accounts Payable Lead - Harpenden to support the Supervisor of the Accounts Payable team for Churchill group companies, ensuring correct records are maintained, which will satisfy the external auditors and ensure all suppliers are paid in a prompt manner. As an Accounts Payable Lead - Harpenden you will be responsible for: Supplier invoices are scanned, distributed, processed and allocated for authorisation on the system in a timely basis. Ensure accurate recovery of input VAT Management of the invoice authorisation process Timely and accurate passing of invoices to nominal, vehicles and subcontract liabilities, as applicable Supporting the Supervisor in the management and control of purchase ledger team, including covering for the Supervisor in their absence. Dealing with supplier telephone queries As an Accounts Payable Lead - Harpenden you will have the following expertise and attributes: Recent experience in a team leader / Senior Accounts Payable role Understands and implements processes Excellent level of numeracy and grammar Makes good use of the opportunities to develop within the role Builds appropriate professional, friendly and accessible relationships with employees and line managers Resilient and able to work in an organisation that is undergoing change due to development and growth.
