REED Accountancy Reading are currently working with a local client seeking a candidate to join them on a full time, permanent basis as an Assistant Accountant. Working as a part of small team you would have an amazing opportunity to fully utilise your experience. Duties for this role include Accruals and prepayments spreadsheet. Reconcile balance sheet accounts. Running payroll through SAGE payroll (70 personnel), P11D, RTI, Pension adminstration, Payroll Year End, new employees, leaving employees. Private mileage deductions. Point of contact for colleague queries. Assist Financial Controller with running the month end processes and preparing the management accounts. Analysis of product sales; analysis of manufacturing costs, indirect and direct costs. Reconciliations including bank accounts, credit card accounts, petty cash, overnight accounts. Assist with credit control-customers who require the next level of collection-7 day letters, legal action. Check authorisation processes for supplier payments are complete. Schedule into cashflow forecasts and sent payments via on-line banking system Check expenses are valid and properly analysed for VAT and schedule payments. Update Exchange rates in Navision computer system. Update cashflow spreadsheets with forecasts of debtor and credit payments, stock and asset purchases EC Sales List submission The company offers free onsite parking and close to local public transport links.
