Are you an experienced Assistant Accountant with enviable experience in your field? If so, our client is looking for a driven individual to join their team and provide efficient and timely support within the Finance Department on a temporary fulltime basis (around 38 - 39 hours per week) for around two months. Duties to include but not limited to: Monthly reconciliation of intercompany balances, daily petty cash reconciliations Management of company credit card statements and employee expense forms Assisting in the preparation of cost centre variance analysis Administration & processing of Company monthly payroll using SAGE 50 Payroll, including preparation of monthly journals and month end control account reconciliation Processing supplier invoices and payments accurately within expected time periods Administration of all external and internal declarations i.e. VAT returns, Intrastat, EC sales & national statistics Preferred Qualifications for Assistant Accountant Intermediate level IT qualifications e.g. ECDL Minimum part qualified Sage 50 Payroll (current or within the last 6 months) Required Experience for Assistant Accountant At least 3 years' experience within a Finance Department Able to devise, implement and maintain effective data storage & retrieval systems Proven track record of succeeding in a deadline driven environment Computer literate, ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel to an intermediate level, e.g. word processing & basic spreadsheets Possess experience with Balance Sheet reconciliations Experience in Ledger, Sales and Purchase Please note this role is to start ASAP so if you feel you have the desired experience then please click 'apply
