Our client has experienced very impressive growth the UK market; both organically and through acquisition. The company has built a good reputation based on its higher performing product range, a high performing sales team and considerable investment into Research & Development to keep it's products at the forefront of the industry. Key Features of Role: Manage the finance operation and responsibility of a direct report. Produce and analyse the management accounts to minimise financial risk. Provide and interpret financial information for month-end, year-end closing. Monitor and interpret cash flows. Manage balance sheet reconciliation. Complete variance analysis and predict future trends. Liaise with auditors to ensure the annual audit meets accounting regulations and produce accurate financial reports to specific deadlines. Preparing board packs/reports for senior management team. Manage the cash/working capital planning day to day and within annual budget process. Monitor company's monthly AR activities. Monitor stock to ensure it reconciles to balance sheet on a monthly basis. Keep abreast of changes in financial regulations and legislation. Person Specification: A minimum of 5 years' experience working in financial management. ACCA/CIMA accountancy qualification or a degree level qualification in Accountancy and Finance. Excellent working knowledge of Sage Accounts (ideally Sage 200) and Excel. Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines, under minimal supervision. Comfortable performing everyday transactional tasks alongside the strategic tasks that this role will dictate. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate financial information/data into summarised reports. Ability to liaise and co-work with people at all levels and support a range of stakeholders within the business. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. This role would suit a hands-on Finance Manager, who is equally comfortable working within the operation as well as operating at a more strategic level. The role involves direct line management of a small Finance team; ensuring that all the accounting responsibilities for the department are completed.
